In the summer studio of Berlin Test Lab, I tried to rebrand Berlin's Kneipe Bar, turning it into a place for communication between different generations, reflecting the tolerance, inheritance and innovation of the Berlin spirit.

Logo Design

Because Berlin’s pubs have the tradition of only supplying beer or wine, I created two trendy characters, “Beer Boy” and “Red Wine Girl,” to give the bar a fresh, youthful vibe.

Sandwich boards, Menu, and Coaster    

To create a cohesive brand, I designed retro-style menus, coasters, and a sandwich board featuring the theme, “One story at a time.” This phrase embodies the pub’s spirit, where each visit offers a chance to share memorable stories.

Exterior Design

I combined the historical feeling with the modern taste to create the exterior design of the knee, and it is sat in the town city of Berlin, attracting different kinds of people.

Interior Design

I built the store's interior structure and décor, with cozy lighting, small spaces, and a cultural wall rich in history. I wanted it to be a place for people to learn about history, meet friends, and find peace in times of solitude.

Social Media

We hosted a Best Beer Selection event on social media, featuring hand-drawn cartoon characters engaging in community activities. By blending hand-drawn elements with real photography, we created a fun and approachable vibe.

Website

I also applied the wooden feeling to the website to try to make it simple and cater to the local people. It’s convenient to book online and have fun with family and friends.

Stickers on the Street

To immerse the brand in Berlin’s culture, we took to the streets, placing cartoon stickers throughout the neighborhood. This small gesture allowed Joey's Kneipe to become a genuine part of the local scene. This project, named after me, Joey, embodies a deep sense of joy and fulfillment—not just creating on the computer, but nurturing beautiful experiences in life and culture.
